Our Story

Haris and Nick met at acting class in 2019, they bonded over two things; their desire to make things and to talk about their crippling anxieties.

In the last five years, the industry has started welcoming more stories that allows comedy and pathos to exist side by side. Conversations about mental health and male mental health have also started to take place more and more.

‘The Boy Who Was Afraid of Everything’ is a story that is told from a diverse and fresh perspective, it promises a new experience in story telling whilst having the familiar aspects that audiences love to see in a coming of age project.

Director's Statement (Nick Bartlett)

From the moment I met Haris I knew that his unique perspective and the way he hilariously handles anxiety would form the basis for a fantastic character. What I didn't know was how much we would al relate to Ali as we brought his story to life. This project wouldn't be possible without the help and support of the entire team. So many people gave their time and skills and I am truly grateful to everyone who helped us get it off the ground.

Awards
